2007 Sailing Season

Position: Any Position
Experience: Beginner
Comments: A coastal Texas live-aboard, I am in Detroit for most of 2008 to be close to my aging parents. I am available literally any time, any day of the week, to fill a crew position on your boat. In excellent health, I have no problems being atop the mast or hanging off the bow to clear a blown out spinnaker. What I lack in hard racing experience I can make up for with passion, energy and a love of the sport. Give me a try. You will not be disappointed.

Position: Any Position
Experience: Beginner
Comments: I bought my second sailboat in '07, a Beneteau 38s5 and keep it at Jefferson Beach Marina, St. Clair Shores. I have sailed for several years but have never raced. I'd like to crew on a raceboat to learn as much as possible. I'm dependable, and my schedule is as flexible as you can get, so I'm AVAILABLE!!!

Michael Baran - 734-634-3255 - mletitroll@sbcglobal.net
Position: Any
Experience: Intermediate
Comments: In May 2007, I completed the U.S. Sailing certification for basic keelboat (22 hrs), basic cruising (26 hrs), and bareboat cruising (26 hrs) at Captiva Island, Fl. through Offshore Sailing School based in Ft. Meyers, Fl. I learned on a 26 ft Colgate and a 44 ft. hunter. In November 2007, I completed U.S. Sailing certification for coastal navigation (3 days) and coastal passagemaking (6 days/5 nights) from Tortola, BVI to the Leeward Islands. Six of us rotated in all crew positions and as captain on a 50 ft. Hunter. I don't have any racing experience, but I'm able and ready to learn. I'm retired as a Ford engineer as of March 2007. Thanks, Mike

Position: Any Position
Experience: Advanced
Comments: That familiar itch that needs to be scratched happens this time of year. I'm comfortable doing any position on the boat Whether it's making sandwiches to driving. I have been professional trained a 2 day seminar on sailing and tactics. I sailed Frers 50 for a number of years, so I'm looking for a Saturday ride with a couple of week night races thrown in. If this sounds interesting give me a call

Position: Any Position

Comments: I am currently a 24 year old medical student. I have grown up sailing and racing on the Connecticut coast out of Mystic, CT. The majority of my racing experience is on a J80, but I have also raced on J109s and other boats. I am someone who can play a role in any position needed. I'd be very happy to be on a boat and help out as much or as little as needed.
